Jim Sandstrom brings 39 years of advertising media experience to bear for clients of Risdall Sandstrom Media Works. Prior to RSMW, Jim was media director at Martin-Williams, BBDO, Fallon, NordicTrack, Price-McNabb and associate media director at Campbell-Mithun.
Jim offers comprehensive experience in virtually every media with hands-on planning and buying experience with television (network broadcast, network cable, local broadcast and local cable), radio (network and local market), magazines (consumer and business-to-business), out-of-home, newspaper, ethnic media, and online vehicles.
With experience selling magazine space for a national magazine, Jim also knows both sides of the media desk and employs a “No job too big, no job too small” philosophy having worked with a large, national, consumer goods clients on network television event sponsorship agreements, as well as negotiating with small town radio stations and newspapers for single-store retailers, and most everything in between.
Jim has a long history with the media vendor/sales community and has earned their respect by fair negotiating practices and providing vendors with media schedule performance data (if/when approved by client) so that vendor is able to adjust pricing, provide no-charge added value elements, etc. in order to make client’s media delivery more cost-effective.
