YES…but the amount depends upon the scope of the project. People who are unfamiliar with media costs are often surprised to learn just how much advertising costs. Even one quarter page black and white ad in a Sunday edition of a local Minneapolis-St. Paul newspaper can cost over $8,000. A four color page in Business Week magazine runs in excess of $100,000. We need to be fairly compensated for the time it takes to do media research and analysis, planning, buying/negotiation, as well as for management of a client’s ad schedule.
